• Ford have promised UK customers that if the retail price of any model reduces then they will be reimbursed the difference. This applies to buyers from September 1st. It follows speculation that the UK manufacturers are to reduce their prices following an investigation into the difference between new car prices in the UK and the rest of Europe.
• The 500,000th Peugeot 206 has rolled off the production line only a year after the car's launch. This car has been a success story since day one. The car is currently built at Ryton, Coventry and Mulhouse and Poissy in France. In the past year, the 206 has entered the top ten best sellers' league in 17 European countries. MG, in celebrating its 75th anniversary, is the major sponsor of the 1999 Goodwood Revival meeting this weekend (September 18-19). The world-famous venue will host a series of events and races at Goodwood including a cavalcade of historic MGs and a display of vehicles from �Old Number One� from 1924 up to the latest MGF Steptronic.

Lord March, owner of the Goodwood Circuit and event organiser said: "As a long-standing MG enthusiast, I am thrilled that MG will take such a large part in the revival weekend; with all of the other activities planned we should have a great event."

Members of the public are welcome to attend the event, which will open on Saturday 18 September and run until Sunday 19. Ticket prices on the day are �25 and �30 respectively.
