RENAULT ADDS THE KANGOO TO ITS CAR RANGE

These people have been paid a lot of money to look like they really love the new Renault Kangoo family car
After a year of huge sales success on mainland Europe and many requests from potential customers who saw the car on trips abroad, Renault has decided to produce the Kangoo in right-hand drive, adding this popular car to its UK range. On sale in the UK from October 1999, the Kangoo is practical, spacious and comfortable with low running costs and great stand-out style. Renault's innovative image will certainly benefit here in the UK.

Available with a choice of two engines, a 1.4-litre, 75bhp petrol or 1.9-litre, 65bhp diesel, low running costs are guaranteed with over 40mpg in the average combined cycle for the diesel.

Based on the new Clio platform, Kangoo has the comfort, refinement and safety of Renault's popular supermini with features like power steering, driver's airbag, plenty of storage space and room for five adults and lots of luggage.

With access to the rear seats through a practical sliding door and masses of space, Kangoo appeals to families and those who have hobbies or businesses that require extra space.

Final prices and specifications will be announced closer to launch, however prices will be under 11,000, providing a lot of car for the money. The traditional family hatch/saloon looks like it is under threat from this rash of new life-style vehicles. Witness the Berlingo in previous news articles.
