JORDAN GRAND PRIX TOPS MOTORSPORT EXHIBITION IN RDS

A Jordan Grand Prix car will be one of the major attractions at the top-line Motorsport International Exhibition, which takes Dublin by storm at the RDS from November 12-14. The Jordan 199/Mugen Honda, raced this year by ex-Formula 1 World Champion, Damon Hill, and taken to victory in France by Heinz-Harold Frentzen, will be among the leading showpieces on display.

The show - to be held in the RDS Simmonscourt Pavilion starting on Friday, November 12 - aims to encompass all aspects and disciplines of Irish motorsport, from the Jordan Formula One team, courtesy of team sponsor, Esat Digifone, to model car racing and karting on circuits both purpose-built for the RDS. Other attractions include the 2FM/Kenwood Sound Challenge '99, a display of motorcycle racing machines and powerboats.

Motorsport in Ireland is a multi-million pound business and promoter Jordan Marketing Communications is delighted to bring Motorsport International, the biggest and most spectacular exhibition to be held in the country, to the RDS.

The level of interest in motorsport in Ireland is currently at an all-time high, largely due to the superb performance of the Benson & Hedges/Esat Digifone-sponsored Jordan Grand Prix team and the unprecedented Formula 1 television coverage, which brings all rounds of the championship to everyone's homes.

Ireland's own Eddie Irvine has raised the nation's hopes - north and south of the border - to fever-pitch as the Dalkey resident continues to lead the World Championship with three Grand Prix victories this year in the Marlboro Ferrari F399. He and fellow Dublin-based Jordan driver, Damon Hill, are household names, and in the coming weeks the show organisers will be announcing various celebrities from the world of motorsport who will be appearing at the RDS.

Said Anna-Maria Avrill of Jordan Marketing Communications: "In Motorsport International, I am pleased to be able to fill a niche in Ireland's exhibition market to the RDS, the country's most prestigious venue. We are in negotiation with some of Ireland's leading motorsport personalities to appear during the course of the three-day show and already the event is on course to be a trade stand sell-out."
