ZAFIRA FOR BRITAINS GOLD MEDALIST
Vauxhall is continuing its sponsorship of Tanni Grey-Thompson MBE, currently the worlds most successful female disabled athlete, with a specially adapted Vauxhall Zafira.

Zafira, launched in the summer, has received rave reviews for its innovative seven-seater configuration which can be easily changed within seconds to leave acres of space for carrying items as large as a wheelchair.

Tanni is already in training to represent Great Britain at the October 2000 Paralympic Games in Sydney. A holder of five gold and four silver paralympic medals, and four times winner of the women's wheelchair division of the London Marathon, she is sure to be a strong contender at the games.

Tanni said: "I have chosen the Vauxhall Zafira for its total flexibility. My sports racing chair, my training kit, clothes and my wheelchair all fit in with ease -- and I will still have room to carry passengers including my new husband!

Said Vauxhall chairman Nick Reilly: "We applaud Tanni for her skills and wish her every success a year from now. We are proud to make sure she gets safely and swiftly to her training sessions in her Zafira."
