Mitsubishi SUW Dion

The Tokyo show

The Big utility SUW is about to make its debut.
Slated for imminent release, the Dion will follow the Dingo as Mitsubishi Motors' second entry into the SUW category. Built in accordance with the "Smart Design" and "Ecology Conscious" themes of our shared SUW development concept, the Dion packs big utility (three rows of seats and seating for seven) and ease of use into its compact body. As might be expected, the Dion is powered by a 2-litre version of Mitsubishi's eco-friendly GDI engine. Not only does the GDI engine deliver powerful performance, it also complies with new Japanese emissions regulations for the year 2000, as well as clearing 2010 fuel consumption standards.

SUW DION

A clear view from any seat
Designing rear seat rows to be taller than those in front ensures clear visibility for all, while creating a more pleasant cabin environment.

Big utility for big satisfaction
The wide interior space features three rows of seats and seating for seven occupants.

H-pattern walk-through
The fully flat floor and seat design give rise to H-pattern walk-through cabin accessibility.

Versatile seating arrangement
Left and right second-row seats slide independently, and the third row features a new fold-down storage mechanism.

Seating versatility greatly increases the ease and convenience of use. There are so many possibilities the family will find themselves thinking of new ways to take advantage of it.

* GDI is a new standard in petrol engines and a trademark of Mitsubishi Motors Corporation.
