The WRC (World Rally Championship) series is marked by fierce competition as powerful teams vie to take the lead in a battle of speed and endurance. Even though the speed of these fierce rally events increases by the year, the Lancer Evolution is once again demonstrating its overwhelming superiority in this year's series. Mitsubishi Team Ralliart driver Tommi Makinen has been high in the championship points standings throughout the year, as he aims to sweep his fourth consecutive championship.

In addition to the impressive colouring scheme befitting a champion, this special edition model features a custom front bumper and air dam, 17-inch aluminium wheels of the same design as those used in the '99 WRC rally events, and a custom seat sporting a Makinen logo.

Refinements to the suspension and other performance equipment ensure an even more nimble ride and precise handling.
