The famed Paris-Dakar Rally is a gruelling marathon that draws motoring enthusiasts from around the world. Since its initial entry, the 4WD Pajero has proven its superiority as it carved its name in history with a glorious record. Our new machine for the 2000 Paris-Dakar-Cairo Rally is based on the all-new Pajero, as we aim to win our sixth overall title. You can expect exciting results from Kenjiro Shinozuka and all the other talented Pajero drivers and teams.

New Pajero - Paris-Dakar-Cairo Rally version
A specially tuned version of our responsive 3.5-litre V6 engine powers the rally version of the all-new Pajero. The 4-wheel independent double-wishbone suspension has also been tuned to improve its already outstanding performance. The new version is fully equipped with the toughness to win in the fierce heat of competition. The next battle begins as we welcome in the new year of 2000.
