Honda at the 1999 Tokyo Motor Show

Honda at the 1999 Tokyo Motor Show.
The 1999 Tokyo show

As a follow-up to the previous "Small is Smart" slogan, Honda is making "Be Smart, Have Fun !" the main theme of the company's car and motorcycle zones at this year's Tokyo Motor Show. The new slogan expresses Honda's vision of the new possibilities and pleasures cars and motorcycles will be offering in the 21st century. Honda cars and motorcycles will be "smart" in terms of environmental and safety concerns, without sacrificing "fun" or enjoyment.

In keeping with the "Be Smart, Have Fun !" theme, the car section of the Honda stand will feature exhibits that express Honda's perceptions on the relationships between people and the new generation of cars, as well as between the car and society. Both the smart and fun aspects will be represented by a variety of show models, concept cars, new technologies and existing production vehicles. The Honda stand will provide a window on the near future of the automobile.

The motorcycle corner presents environment-friendly technologies and concept models that reveal Honda's vision of greater harmony in the future between motorcycles, humans and society. Several "fun" and friendly models from the current Honda line-up are also on display. The joys of motorcycle riding, socialising, customising and more are clearly conveyed.

The Honda stand will present a variety of exhibits that allow visitors to see how dreams and technology come together to produce a constantly changing future.
