SEAT LAUNCH RADICAL ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE FOR CUSTOMERS |

For the first time, SEAT owners in the London region gain the new high profile support of "SEAT Assistance" fleet. Three specially equipped Alhambras are now operating within the M25 region providing a complete customer service for SEAT owners linked and directed by a satellite location system. One of the first mobile roadside assistance schemes to offer such a high level of remedial capability on a mobile basis, the new SEAT Assistance fleet is both guided and tracked by GPS satellite navigation systems to speed up response time and efficiency. In this way customers can be kept informed of the proximity of the SEAT Assistance vehicle by telephone while at the scene. Each operator also carries a radio to keep in touch with the Control Centre. |

Fully equipped with a wide range of parts, tools and equipment designed to keep SEAT customers mobile, the extra weight of the Alhambras is dealt with by special rear air suspension systems. "All new SEAT cars are covered by a three year unlimited mileage warranty and the launch of this sophisticated roadside support scheme takes customer support to a new level," commented Jim O'Donnell SEAT UK Customer Service Manager. Despite one of the lowest levels of breakdowns of any make on sale in the UK, SEAT is moving ahead to raise the standards of customer satisfaction in the UK starting with the introduction of this pioneering scheme launched first in the London area. SEAT owners can summon assistance with a special freephone number handled by a unique call centre which is in addition to the SEAT Hotline for general customer calls on 0500 222222. One has to admire SEAT for this initiative. We hope that it will be successful and therefore spread to the rest of the VW Group. Soon enough, every manufacturer should have a similar system - a major boost for customer satisfaction. |
