NEW MITSUBISHI CHALLENGER TO BE SHOWN AT LONDON SHOW

The 2000 model year Mitsubishi Challenger will make its European debut at the London Motor Show. The model will go on sale in the UK in spring next year and the range of 2.5 TD and 3 litre models will be broadened with the INVECS II automatic transmission option available on the 3.0 V6 model.

The new vehicle will feature a re-designed front end as well as an improved passenger compartment.

The new front end maintains the Mitsubishi Challenger�s powerful and aggressive styling. A re-designed front bumper grille, clear headlight lenses and new headlamp mouldings give the Challenger a fresh �face�.

Inside the Challenger new seat materials have been added to give the vehicle a more luxurious feel, and front seat passengers will benefit from the addition of a centre armrest. Safety of rear seat passengers has also been improved with the addition of a rear centre headrest on all models.

The option of the 3.0 V6 INVECS II 4-speed automatic gearbox has been added to the model range line-up to enhance still further the vehicle�s car like driving characteristics.

The current Mitsubishi Challenger�s price starts at �20,370 on the road no prices have been set for the new model.
