NISSAN STARS IN NEXT YEAR'S BAYWATCH SERIES

Nissan�s Pickup truck, the King Cab, will feature in the new millennium series of Baywatch, which begins shooting in September. The new series of the world�s favourite TV show has cast the specially prepared Nissan Pickup King Cab in a perfect product-placement coup. The series is expected to reach an audience of 2 billion people in over 150 countries. Who says that sex doesn't sell?

Lifesavers from the real L.A. County Lifeguard Division use a fleet of 60 Nissan vehicles to patrol the beaches of southern California. Steve Moseley, captain of community services for the Los Angeles County Lifeguards had this corny line to say: "The L.A. County Lifeguards have always been fond of the Nissan trucks, as they have consistently withstood the pounding sun, sand and wind. They�re the best built bodies on the beach."

The Nissan Pickup King Cab, available in either two or four-wheel drive has two individual front seats with a secure space behind the seats to store tools and valuables, as well as a flat load bed that can hold up to 970kg. It is powered by a 2.5-litre diesel engine, with a turbo and intercooler on the 4x4.
