PASSAT SALOON FREE SERVICE AND MAINTENANCE OFFER

(29 September 1999 - VW UK press release)

Volkswagen is offering customers free servicing and maintenance on Passat Saloons, once again lowering the cost of ownership and giving added peace of mind.

Available to retail customers purchasing a new Passat Saloon between 1 September and the end of November, the offer provides free servicing and maintenance for three years or 36,000 miles (whichever comes first).

The Passat is bordering on Audi territory right now

The offer does not apply to Motability or fleet sales. Customers should speak to their local Volkswagen Retailer for full details. Added to Volkswagen's three year unlimited mileage and paintwork warranty plus 11 year body protection guarantee, this programme gives Passat customers added confidence, offering total peace of mind and fixed budget motoring.

The Passat Saloon line-up now features 32 models, with petrol engines ranging from the 1.8 litre 125 bhp to the flagship 193 bhp V6 4MOTION; diesels include the renowned 90 and 110 bhp TDIs as well as the 150 bhp V6 TDI which was launched last month.

Murph reviewed the VW Passat VR5 in a previous issue of The Car Enthusiast.
