What's the news?
The VUHL 05 made its debut last week at the Royal Automobile Club in Pall Mall, London. VIP guests at the unveiling included Sir Stirling Moss and Chairman of the FIA Foundation, Tim Keown. This week the car will run in the 'First Glance' class as part of the Michelin Supercar Run at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. VUHL Automotive hopes to have cars on sale by next year with a starting price just over £59,000.
Exterior
Bodywork is made from reinforced plastic, although the same moulds can apparently be used to produce carbon fibre panels, which would save 25kg - not that the standard car is exactly heavy with a 695kg dry weight quoted. There are no doors but the car is very low so it should be easy enough to step over the sides of the body.
Interior
As befits the back to basics nature of the car the interior is pared back to the essentials. No carpets, no cup holders and no soft-touch plastics; just a digital instrument display, a couple of bucket seats and a sports steering wheel.

Anything else?
Visitors to the Festival of Speed are encouraged to visit the VUHL Automotive stand in the main arena where a complete car and a bare chassis will be on display.
