What's this then?
This is the new Aston Martin Vantage convertible.
Phwoar, that looks nice.
Doesn't it, though? It'll go on sale next year and will borrow the same aluminium/carbon-fibre chassis, and the twin-turbo 510hp V8 engine from the Coupe version. It'll be a little heavier than the Coupe, so probably a little slower than the hard-top to 62mph, but with a top speed of close to 200mph all the same.
What else do we know about it?
Well, actually not much as yet. Aston is being mostly schtum about the car, aside from showing us these nice photos. More details will doubtless be released in the run up to its launch.
One thing; you said 'convertible'...
Yes, Aston hasn't used the classic 'Volante' name in talking about the new Vantage convertible yet, so it remains to be seen if it's going to get that classic nameplate, or simply be called Vantage Roadster.
