What's all this about?
AC Schnitzer, the fabled BMW tuner based in Aachen, west Germany, has various items available for sale through its UK concessions. So shall we get on with going through them?
Please do. What do we have first up?
A one-off-reduction on a full ACS conversion kit for a BMW i8. Usually £22,533.89, ACS UK (based at Rossiters in Dersingham, north Norfolk) has slashed the price of this to £20,495 for one conversion kit only - this figure includes VAT and fitting. With a lead time of a week and a fitting time of three to four days, your money gets you a set of 21-inch forged AC1 alloy wheels in matte anthracite finish, a wheel fitting kit with locking wheel bolts and tyre-pressure monitoring valves, Michelin Pilot Supersport tyres (245/35 R21 front, 285/30 R21 rear), lowered ACS springs, carbon fibre front spoiler elements, a carbon fibre side skirt set, a carbon fibre Racing rear wing, an alloy pedal set and a decal set. You need to call to book your car in if you're interested, so get dialling now on 01485 542000.
Umm... I don't have a BMW i8. So what else have we got?
How about a high-performance intercooler for any MINI Cooper S model? ACS says the 'cooler provides 53 per cent larger contact flow surface and 52 per cent more charge air volume, compared to the OEM item, which promises increases in power and torque (unspecified by ACS) without affecting the way the car delivers said power. The original charge air hoses can be used and it's a like-for-like swap for the MINI intercooler, the ACS unit weighing in at 9.2kg. It's priced at £935.08. And there will be a John Cooper Works variant of the intercooler coming soon from ACS, as well.
OK, I haven't got a MINI either. Any other items to talk about?
AC Schnitzer pedal sets for all current BMW and MINI models, and most older vehicles as well, are available in a silver anodised finish with rubber treads. These are available for all versions, be they manual, automatic or DCT, and are a standard price of £164 including VAT. Then there are carbon fibre splitter, side skirt sets, door mirror caps and spoilers for the 2 Series Coupe and Convertible M Sport models, including the M240i, which range from about £300 right up to £2,800 for a full carbon racing rear wing on a 2 Series Coupe. And ACS offers a 'full programme' - that's performance upgrades, aerodynamics, suspension, alloy wheels, styling and exhaust options - for the G30 and G31 5 Series saloon and Touring models. You'll need to go here for details.
Phew! Sounds like there's a lot to go through. Can I have some contact details, please?
Go to Rossiters for a full rundown... oh, and if Norfolk sounds too remote for you, perhaps you'll be pleased to know that ACS has a new dealer in London, called iTec Tuning. Based in north London, you can contact Ev on 0207 254 2233 or log on here for more details.
