DAEWOO’S BELFAST OUTLET TO GIVE AWAY FOUR NEW CARS IN 2000

Daewoo’s Belfast Car Centre has joined forces with the Belfast Telegraph to offer its readers the opportunity to win four new Daewoos during 2000.

The Belfast Telegraph roadshows will be visiting towns, exhibitions and shopping centres throughout Northern Ireland during 2000.

A new Daewoo will be given away in a quarterly draw, with a Matiz being the first prize in March. A Lanos, Nubira and Leganza will all be given away later in the year. The Matiz will be displayed outside the main entrance to the Ulster Motor Show to encourage visitors to enter the draw.

The roadshows will also be visiting the Balmoral Show, the Ideal Homes Exhibition, as well as Castle Court, Connswater, Abbey Centre and other shopping centres. The public will be able to enter the prize draw at any of these locations.

Daewoo is served in Northern Ireland by its Car Centre in Belfast which opened in spring 1996 and is one of the most successful sites in Daewoo’s network.

Last year, staff from Daewoo’s Belfast outlet enjoyed a trip to Iceland as a prize for winning the internal award for the highest standard of service throughout the whole network. The honour is based upon the results of customer feedback, operational assessment and mystery shopping.

The one acre site has display space for 40 used vehicles and the 2691sq ft showroom has space for the display of six new cars. The adjoining service and repair facility is 4300 sq ft and has five car ramps.

During 1999, the outlet sold just over 700 cars, with sales to local businesses improving by 91% and a 25% increase in sales to private buyers.
