NEW RENAULT SCENIC RX4 GOES ON SALE
Boasting a distinctive 4x4 "look", this new version of the Scenic brings new levels of comfort, refinement, performance and ease of driving to the 4x4 market. It loses none of the features of its two-wheel drive stablemate, whilst adding all-terrain holiday and leisure driving capability, thanks to permanent ‘real-time’ four-wheel drive and electronic traction control on all models. Such innovation has become the signature of Renault design and could take the Scenic RX4 straight to the top of the European compact SUV sales chart ahead of long established models, and add to the success of the Scenic of which over 90,000 have been sold in the UK in the last three years.
Choice of models
The Sport Alizé trim level offers a high level of standard equipment to Scenic RX4 owners including:
The Renault Scenic RX4 also enjoys a handsome price advantage over its major rivals as with most Renault models. The four model range starts with the Scenic RX4 Sport Alizé 1.9 dCi at £18,200, which is £2,795 less than the Land Rover Freelander Xdi 5 door. The Scenic RX4 Sport Alizé 2.0 16V has a power advantage of 20bhp over the 1.8-litre 120bhp Freelander Xi 5 door as well as being £1,595 less at £18,400. The luxurious Monaco models at the top of the range have an even greater price advantage over its rivals. The Scenic RX4 Monaco 1.9 dCi at £19,400 is £3,595 less than the slower, less powerful and less economical Freelander XEdi 5 door. The range-topping Scenic RX4 Monaco 2.0 16V at £19,600 is £2,395 less than the Freelander XEi 5 door, £600 less than the Honda CRV ES Executive and £1,055 less than the Toyota RAV4 VX 5 door. Like the original Scenic, the Scenic RX4 will conquest the majority of customers from other car brands including owners of conventional 4x4s, estate cars and hatchbacks. Some current Renault Scenic customers are also sure to trade-up to an Scenic RX4. |
