MAZDA 323 2.0 Di TURBO LEADS CLASS ON RUNNING COSTS
Despite fierce competition the Mazda 323 2.0 Di Turbo is the most cost efficient car to drive, according to CAP Monitor. Beating its competitors makes the Mazda 323 2.0 Di Turbo the class leader in the Medium Diesel 2.0-2.4-litre category.

CAP Monitor research finds the Mazda 323 2.0 Di Turbo costs just 22.4 pence per mile to run, making it the cheapest in its class. For two consecutive months the Mazda 323 2.0 Di Turbo beat competitors including the Citroën Xsara HDi and the Peugeot 306 HDi.

"We are delighted that the Mazda 323 has topped the rankings in terms of efficiency which makes the diesel a critical choice in a manager’s selection," says Mazda head of corporate sales Emma Hill.

"CAP Monitor rankings are based on important costing parameters, including servicing charges, fuel costs and rates of depreciation. Add to that the Mazda’s virtuous reliability, safety and practicality and the Mazda 323 2.0 Di Turbo is an excellent choice for both driver and fleet manager alike."

Mazda’s 2.0-litre Di Turbo powerplant delivers superb performance as well as outstanding efficiency - 90PS at 4000rpm and a maximum torque of 220Nm. With consumption of 55.4mpg on the combined cycle the Mazda 323 2.0 Di Turbo can cover nearly 700 miles between fuel stops.
