Lotus has raised the ante of its track-focus Exige once more. This one's called the Cup 260 and it's better than ever.

Engine: Mid-mounted transverse Toyota 2ZZ-GE four-cylinder engine. Aluminium construction, water cooled. Roots-type supercharger and intercooler.

Valve gear: Double overhead camshafts with variable valve timing and lift. Hydraulic tappets, rockers arms with low friction followers.
Max. power (bhp): 257 at 8000 rpm
Max. torque (lb.ft): 174 at 6000 rpm

Transmission: Six-speed manual gearbox. Rear-wheel drive. Torque-sensing limited slip differential.


 
Chassis & running gear

Front: Eibach springs, one way adjustable Bilstein dampers and a stiffened and adjustable anti-roll bar.

Brakes: Front: 308mm cast iron cross-drilled and ventilated discs; AP Racing four-piston callipers. Rear: 282mm cross-drilled and ventilated discs; Brembo sliding callipers. Pagid RS14 sports brake pads. Servo-assisted four-channel ABS system.

Tyres: Specially developed Yokohama A048 LTS tyres as standard.
