What's all this about?
Ford is face-lifting the C-Max and larger, seven-seat Grand C-Max in line with other models in its range.
Nice. What are the key points?
It has the new, inverted trapezoid grille, narrower, meaner lights, a boot that now looks one-piece thanks to 'advanced' production techniques and two new colours - Rush Red and Caribou, both of which you can see in the pictures. We'll leave you to work out which is which...
Thanks for that. How about inside?
A revised dash with less buttons, loads and loads and loads of driver assist technology, the second generation of the SYNC connectivity system (called, ingeniously, SYNC 2) and improved sound-deadening in plenty of key areas mean the C-Max twins are a much more refined proposition than their forebears.
And under the bonnet?
The 100- and 125hp versions of Ford's excellent 'Fox' 1.0-litre, three-cylinder EcoBoost engine continue, but the 1.5-litre TDCi engine replaces the old 1.6 diesel. This new unit has 5hp more than before, but is six per cent cleaner when it comes to CO2 emissions.
This all sounds very appealing. When do they go on sale?
In early 2015, you can get into either version of the revised C-Max in Europe.
