What's this then?
These, my good people, are the first official images of the Honda HR-V that is set to debut at the Paris Motor Show.
Ah the Joy machine! Wait didn't we see this already?
Sort of, yes. A car very similar to this debuted at the Tokyo Auto Show last year wearing the Vezel badge, while the HR-V officially debuted at the New York Auto Show earlier this year.
Is Honda trying to stretch this out the same way it has with the ruddy NSX?
Well this is the European version. The Vezel is slightly different from what we will get here and the car shown in New York was for the American market so will likely come with engine options unsuitable to the European audience.
Ok, so when can I buy one?
Officially the car to debut in Paris is still a prototype rather than a production model so you will have to wait a little while yet. We do not expect the production car to change too much though; the show car has 'Magic Seats' from the Civic, a centrally mounted fuel tank to free up interior space and hidden rear door handles to match its coupé-like swooping roofline, none of which are particularly 'out there'. Some point in 2015 any good to you?
Sounds good. Any more news on the NSX?
No!
