What's the news?
Skoda has added a new model to the Yeti range, the Yeti Monte Carlo, which inherits the same look and rallying associations as the equivalent Fabia and Citigo. Based on the SE trim level the Monte Carlo is priced from £24,390.
Exterior
Red paint with a black roof is the signature colour scheme of the Monte Carlo, though black, white, silver and grey are available too. The front grille, door mirrors, rear diffuser and 17-inch alloy wheels are also painted in a matching shade of black. Even the front fog lamps are black tinted while Xenon headlamps with cornering function are standard.
Interior
Inside, the sports seats are trimmed in special upholstery and a three-spoke, leather 'Supersport' multi-function steering wheel is fitted. There are also special designs on the sill tread plates, floor mats and in the instrument cluster.
Mechanicals
One engine is offered, the 2.0-litre TDI diesel unit with 170hp, which comes as standard with a six-speed manual gearbox. Skoda's DSG automatic transmission can be ordered for an extra £1,100.
Anything else?
Official performance, economy and CO2 emissions figures for the Yeti Monte Carlo are 0-62mph in 8.4 seconds, 49.6mpg and 149g/km for the manual version. The equivalent figures for the DSG are 8.6 seconds, 44.8mpg and 164g/km.
