What's the news?
MINI has launched a new website that enables its customers to find their service-related queries answered. Apart from locating dealerships, getting service quotes and booking their MINI's next service, the website also keeps a track of the MINI TLC plan.
MINI TLC is a popular add-on service plan among buyers. It covers service costs for up to five years or 50,000 miles from the date of purchase of a new vehicle. While that sounds like a good way of saving money, a recent survey by MINI revealed that about one-in-four of those who opt for the service plan fail to make proper use of it. That means, in spite of paying for MINI TLC, a good number of customers get their MINIs serviced at independent garages, hence spending money for something that comes free as a part of TLC.
With the help of the new website (www.mini.co.uk/owners/maintenance/mini-servicing/), MINI encourages its customers to make use of the TLC plan. Things like the TLC plans details, its expiry and remaining service value are available online on the new website.
Anything else?
"We don't like to see our customers waste their money," said MINI Aftersales Director, Richard Price. "Our TLC servicing pack represents great value... but only if people use it. The new site is designed to help owners see if they have servicing value left on their pack, helping them to avoid paying twice. For those who have already used the full value, the site will help them get a fixed price servicing quote."
Apart from the service-related information, the website also features educational videos for MINI customers.
As for the TLC plans, they start from £275, and are fully transferrable in case of change of ownership of the car.
