What's the news?
Ferrari has announced a new long-term warranty scheme for its customers, enabling up to 12 years of warranty once the normal four-year warranty period has expired.
The original manufacturer's warranty can now be extended by a year, hence offering a cover of five years from the date of registration.
But should your Ferrari's warranty lapse, the New Power Warranty can be availed of. Under this plan, Ferrari will offer cover up to the 12th year from the date of registration. This warranty can be activated on Ferraris from the sixth year onwards.
Anything else?
There's an annual renewal of the New Power Warranty. Ferrari says there's a 15 per cent renewal incentive year-on-year. Also, if no warranty work is carried out in the previous year, an addition 15 per cent of incentive will be applicable.
Cars that have not been previously covered by Ferrari's warranty extensions will have to undergo a technical verification before they are registered for the New Power Warranty.
