What's the news?
The Land Rover Defender might be the most iconic and loved LR (bar the Range Rover), but there's no harm in making it more unique, right? And that's where A. Kahn Design steps in. A. Kahn Design presents the Defender 2.2 TDCI SW 90 - Chelsea Wide Track.
Exterior
The styling package on the vehicle enhances the Defender's looks without messing with the original design of the vehicle. Front and rear wings, extended wheel arches, vents on the sides and bonnet are a few of the updates. This Defender also gets 20-inch Kahn 'Mondial' wheels and a 'Chelsea Truck Company' spare wheel cover.
There's some change up front too, in the form of the X-Lander grille. The colour of the same can be specified as per your liking.
Interior
The vehicle gets leather wrapped steering wheel and seats. Harris Tweed inserts and a redesigned instrument panel also make it to this Landie. Front and rear GTB seats are available in a couple of colours as per the buyer's preference. Unlike the Defender 110, which gets a bench in the second row, the Defender 90 boasts two individual seats at the back, much like the ones in the front.
Mechanicals
The engine is the same as that found in the Defender that comes from the LR factory: a 2.2-litre turbodiesel unit that makes 122hp. A. Kahn Design offers an automatic transmission (in-house conversion) too. Power is sent to all four wheels.
Anything else?
Expect some subtle Kahn and Chelsea Truck Company branding on (and inside) the vehicle.
