What's the news?
SEAT has announced an Ecomotive version of the Exeo to expand its range of low CO2 options. The new model is available to order now priced at £20,040. Five trim levels are offered: S, SE, SE Tech, Sport and Sport Tech. For the year to date sales of Ecomotive Technology cars reached a record level, accounting for 41.3% of all SEATs sold.
Exterior
Exeo Ecomotives are available in both saloon and ST (estate) body styles. Visible fuel saving measures include lowered suspension and low rolling resistance Goodyear tyres on 16-inch alloy wheels. Sport models come with bi-Xenon headlamps, LED tail lights and tinted rear windows.
Interior
Standard equipment includes dual-zone climate control, voice activated Bluetooth and a multi-function steering wheel. The SE adds a leather steering wheel, rain sensing wipers and automatic headlamps. Sports seats and gloss black dashboard inserts come with the Sport specification. The Tech pack adds leather upholstery, satellite navigation and a BOSE stereo.
Mechanicals
The 2.0-litre TDI engine is offered in 120- or 142hp tunes. Emissions and fuel consumption figures are identical for both versions: 117g/km and 62.8mpg. Stop-start and an energy recovery system contribute to the fuel saving.
Anything else?
Reducing the CO2 emissions means the Exeo qualifies for VED band C, currently £30 a year. Company car drivers will find that the Exeo qualifies for a 17% BIK rating.
