SEAT's popular Leon FR+ model has received an update just in time to take advantage of the new '12' plate change. The Leon FR+ Supercopa combines all that is good about the standard FR+ with a dramatic styling kit modelled on that worn by SEAT's WTCC race cars.
Bespoke 'Supercopa' badges are joined by reworked front and rear bumpers, new side skirts, a more pronounced tailgate spoiler, unique 18-inch BBS alloys and chrome tipped, twin exhaust pipes. It is even constructed by the same SEAT Sport engineers who work on the race cars. The special edition cars are available in either Nevada White, Emoción Red or, as the pictures show, Speed Blue.
Underneath all the fancy Supercopa styling however the new car is still an FR+ at heart so standard equipment includes the SEAT Media System incorporating satellite navigation with a five-inch colour touch-screen, DAB radio, Bluetooth audio streaming and an SD card slot; Bluetooth phone connection; bi-xenon headlights with AFS (Adaptive Front-lighting System) and rear parking sensors. SEAT says the special edition features £3,000 worth of kit for only £750 more than the standard car.
Like the normal FR+ the Supercopa is available with either a 2.0-litre 170hp TDI diesel engine or a 211hp 2.0-litre TSI petrol unit with prices starting from £22,530 for the diesel version fitted with a six-speed manual transmission.
The Leon FR+ Supercopa is available to test drive, and order, at SEAT dealers nationwide.
