It's only been around since 2008 but SEAT has decided that its compact-executive Exeo is due for an update. So for 2012 the saloon and estate models are more stylish, economical and refined.
The third best-seller in the Spanish maker's line-up sports a revised face with new Bi-Xenon headlights as standard. Choose a Sport model and you'll also benefit from stylish LED daytime running lights. Further changes are limited to some new alloy wheels, better quality leather for the steering wheel and a change of upholstery.
But the firm has been concentrating on increasing the car's desirability through enhanced efficiency measures as well. Now the 2.0-litre TDI engine can achieve as little as 129g/km of CO2 emissions. Saloon models will also be able to hit 58.9mpg on the combined cycle.
There's more to come as well, as later in the year SEAT will unveil its new Ecomotive Exeo. Building on the technology already seen in the Leon and Ibiza models (which includes stop-start, aerodynamic improvements and low-rolling resistance tyres) the Exeo is targeting a CO2 figure of less than 120g/km. Expect average fuel economy to receive a similarly impressive boost in a bid to capture the hearts of Britain's fleet and private buyers alike.
The revised Exeo saloon and ST are in UK showrooms now, and prices start at only £19,480.
