Time for another batch of MINI special editions. This week's additions follow in the longstanding tradition of taking their inspiration from fashionable London addresses and will go on sale on March 1 for a limited run.
Obviously hoping to cash in on the publicity surrounding BBC's Sherlock the MINI Baker Street is available in MINI One, One D, Cooper and Cooper D guise with prices ranging from £16,365 to £19,945. The Baker Street uses the Pepper Pack as its base so includes air conditioning, Bluetooth, leather steering wheel, front fog lamps, a multi-coloured interior lighting package and DAB digital radio. Paint options include Rooftop grey, Pepper White and Midnight Black with twin stripes along the bonnet. The Baker Street edition also features 16-inch alloy wheels, a diamond-patterned interior with contrasting stitching on the floor mats, gearstick and handbrake gaiters. Cooper and Cooper D models feature a painted black roof.
The more expensive and hotter MINI Bayswater is available in Cooper, Cooper D, Cooper S and Cooper SD models and is named after the area between Knightsbridge and Notting Hill. Priced from £18,565 to £23,375 the Bayswater is available in Kite Blue, Midnight Black or Eclipse Grey metallic paint with stripes on the bonnet and contrasting coloured stripes down each flank.
The Bayswater's interior includes Chrome Line and Chili packs as standard but features unique touches such as the Punch Leather seats in Rocklike Anthracite with metallic sheen bolsters.
Whatever the spec One D and Cooper D models emit just 99g/km from the exhaust meaning they are exempt from London's Congestion Charge.
