British tuning firm Superchips has released its latest upgrade for the current MINI Cooper S. The new ECU chip takes power from the standard 181- to 206bhp, adding 25bhp into the mix.
Superchips' latest upgrade is available for all MINI Cooper S models built after 1 March 2010 that use the 1.6-litre turbo engine. The company also says the engine upgrade increases torque by 24lb.ft for stronger overtaking.
However, Superchips states that the upgrade does not affect fuel economy, which stays at 48.0mpg. The chip upgrade comes with a full 12-month, 30,000-mile warranty and costs £455.
