Toyota's European factories are set to return to 100 per cent production by June. The return to normality has happened faster than expected following the disruption caused by the earthquake and tsunami that hit Japan in March.
Managing director of Toyota GB, Jon Williams, described the announcement as great news and thanked everyone who made it possible. Williams added, "I know the UK dealers will be delighted to be able to offer customers normal delivery lead-times sooner than previously expected."
Both UK plants, in Derbyshire and Deeside, as well as the facilities in Turkey and Poland are back to full production from 1st June. The factory in France, which builds the Yaris, returned to full capacity from 16th May.
