Hourosh Mansory's company - based in Brand, Germany - is known for customising exclusive car brands such as Aston Martin, Bentley, Ferrari, Rolls-Royce and Porsche. These conversions include aerodynamic packages, big alloys, engine upgrades and interior overhauls.
Its latest development, however, is a motorbike. The Zapico was developed in collaboration with bike customiser Thomas M. George. The bike uses carbon and aluminium materials, and most of the parts were produced by the Mansory factory itself, such as the front mask, bug spoiler, seat module, primary shield and silencer, as well as the fuel tank, the frame, fork, wheels and airbox.
The motorcycle is powered by a 124 cubic inch (around 2,080cc) V2 engine, produced by US-based S&S. It produces 160bhp at 5,200rpm and accelerates to 62mph in just 3.3 seconds. Power is transmitted through a five-speed transmission to the 18-inch rear wheel. There is no quoted top speed figure; according to Mansory, it is 'adequate'. The bike weighs 340kg with the tank full.
The Zapico is available in Germany, Switzerland and, through its select sales partners, all over the world. We're hoping to see in at the Geneva Motor Show this week.
