The French car maker, Atomik Cars, has brought its electric Atomik 500 to this year's Salon Privé. Launched last month (June), this creation from the Paris-based maker supposedly brings supercar performance to a city car for the first time.
The Atomik 500 is based on Fiat's 500 and has been fitted with two electric motors replacing the conventional engine. The motors, one front and one rear, combine to produce 217bhp and a huge 1,880lb.ft of torque. Atomik claims a 0-62mph time of less than five seconds and a range of up to 124 miles between charges. As the car is fully electric emissions are zero.
The Salon Privé showcase for exotic and exclusive supercars takes place at London's Hurlingham Club from 21- 23 July.
