Mitsubishi has come up with an online driving game to promote the new ASX crossover. The highest scoring players could even win a car - or free accessories if they buy an ASX.
The ASX Challenge involves guiding a virtual car around a simulated urban setting. Although play takes place in a simple, two-dimensional, plan-view environment the game apparently uses 'Advanced Artificial Intelligence' to control the other cars and traffic lights.
There are tasks to complete, including 'Mother-in-law Chauffeur' and 'Drop the Kids at School', which allow you to earn points. Further challenges will be added in a future release of the game. There are time limits to complete each errand and penalties for reckless driving. If your first attempts are anything like ours you'll pick up plenty of these.
Players can join the game by going to
www.mitsubishi-cars.co.uk/game or
www.Facebook.com/ASXcrossover and have until the end of June to earn points. The real-world ASX goes on sale on 1st July.
