What is it?
You probably haven't heard of NLV or its Quant saloon, but you will have heard of Koenigsegg. The man behind the NLV Quant is the none other than Mr Koenigsegg himself, though he points out that the two ventures are separate from each other. Still, there are similarities, such as outrageous power and amazing styling.
Why's it here?
The NLV Quant is destined for production as early as 2012, so the Geneva show car is here to test reactions. It uses four electric motors to produce the equivalent of 512bhp and they drive all four wheels. NLV has not revealed any performance figures but it's a safe bet this will be one very quick saloon.
Show stopper or floor filler?
Show stopper and that's a cert. The full-length gullwing doors are enough to satisfy this criteria, but the NLV Quant goes much further. Its body is covered in a solar film that absorbs energy to charge the batteries, while lightweight materials are used throughout to keep weight down and efficiency at a peak. It can also run on just two electric motors to save energy, but offers four-wheel drive when you want the best performance and handling ability.
