RUF has launched its second battery-powered, Porsche-based car, the Cayenne-derived Stormster. It joins the eRUF 'Greenster', the 911-based electric car unveiled last October.
The Stormster uses a 362bhp Siemens electric motor, though a 2,670kg kerb weight blunts acceleration with a claimed 0-62mph time of ten seconds and a top speed of around 93mph.
Electricity is stored in European-made lithium ion batteries using ceramic storage technology. On a single charge it should be possible to cover up to 124 miles.
The Stormster is on display at the European Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen (COP15) until December 15th.
