Kia has continued its remarkable knack of naming its cars specifically for headline writers with this, the Venga being the latest. Think of it as a bigger, even more sensible version of the
Soul and you're about there.
It's due to get its debut proper at
Frankfurt, but Kia has already shared a few details, including its dimensions so that we can gush at how spacious it is. Here goes then: at 4,068mm long it's fractionally longer than a
Ford Fiesta, but Kia is claiming family hatch levels of space because it's got a long wheelbase and a tall roofline. Nice work.
Power comes from a choice of 1.4-litre and 1.6-litre petrol and diesel lumps generating between 74bhp and 113bhp, and there's a split-level boot floor for some handy additional practicality. It goes on sale here early next year, but we'll tell you more when we get further info in Frankfurt, including whether the rumour that it will go from New York to San Francisco on just one tank is true...
