The Mercedes S-Class is one of the best cars money can buy, but some may find it a trifle staid to look at. Customers wanting to jazz-up their S-Class or CL Coupé can order the AMG Sports package. The kit includes body styling, interior upgrades and wheels and tyres.
The body kit has been designed to fit both long and short wheelbase versions of the S-Class, while the CL-Class coupé gains its own components. Included in the kit are a front air dam with large air intakes, side skirts that flare out at each end and a rear valance with a black insert and stainless steel exhaust trim.
To help fill out the wheel arches 19-inch AMG alloy wheels are standard. Tyres are 255/40 at the front and 275/40 at the rear. Alternately customers can specify 20-inch alloys wearing 255/35 and 275/35 tyres.
The wood trim and wood/leather steering wheel use black ash for a more 'dynamic' look. The stainless steel pedals with rubber studs add a further sporting touch while the package also includes velour floor mats with AMG lettering.
Customers can buy the AMG Sport package from June 2009. Based on the price in Euros it should cost from £5,200 to £7,100.
