If you're the sort of person who gets excited at the flash of lining in a designer suit then the latest pictures Mercedes has released of its AMG SLS Gullwing are sure to thrill. Showing the new supercar's interior in all its undisguised glory, the official pictures show that SLS owners will be ensconced in an interior featuring lots of leather, exposed stitching, shiny aluminium and glossily finished carbon weave.
It all looks great, but really all we're interested in here is how it looks outside. We'll have to wait, as the only hints that Mercedes is currently releasing of the exterior are sketches. With design sketches
always showing something that's better than the final production version we're not really sure what the folks at Merc are up to.
Anyway, a bit of zooming in on the interior pics does reveal a rotary dial with C, S, S+, M and RS on it, which we assume means Comfort, Sport, Sport plus, Manual and Race Start for the transmission; another button giving a Sport or tantalisingly 'off' ESP setting; another raising the rear wing and a final - and mysterious one - simply containing AMG lettering. We're not sure whether this sets everything to the full mad-spec as you can do with BMW's M button, or lights up the sky with an AMG logo. We'll just need to wait and see... Though, really, we wish Mercedes would just get on with it.
