Ssangyong showed three versions of its C200 concept at the Seoul Motor Show this week. Described as a compact urban vehicle - or CUV - diesel-hybrid, 'high torque' diesel and turbocharged petrol versions were on display in Korea.
The C200 was designed by ItalDesign and represents a more car-like product for Ssangyong. Like
Kia's new Sorento it dispenses with the off-roader's traditional separate chassis in favour of unitary construction. The show car is described as very close to how the production vehicle will look.
Details of the showroom-ready version will be revealed later this year and production is scheduled to start in November. UK sales are likely to commence in March 2010.
