Spring may be on its way but Volvo appears to be experiencing a late frost with the introduction of the Ice White C70 coupé-convertible. Featuring extra equipment, the £24,495 special edition costs less than the model on which it is based.
Ice White paint and 18-inch 'Midir' alloy wheels help the model stand out. Inside there is 'Calcite' leather upholstery, black trim and aluminium inlays. Standard C70 features remain including the safety systems, climate control and a roof that can be raised or lowered in 30 seconds.
Power comes from Volvo's 2.0-litre diesel motor that develops 134bhp. With this engine Volvo claims 46.3mpg is possible on the combined cycle and CO2 emissions are 161g/km.
The C70 2.0D S coupé-convertible - on which the limited edition is based - costs £24,995, but the Ice White is £500 cheaper despite featuring extras worth £2,350. For an extra £1,400 customers can choose the six-speed, dual clutch Powershift transmission.
White cars are currently in vogue and Volvo hopes the Ice White C70 will be a popular choice this summer.
