What is it?
It's a £1m Ferrari-shaped platform to show off the Prancing Horse's future technology. You can't actually buy it, but it's pure motor show fantasy of the kind we like: the rock hard antithesis of the useless electric shopping trolleys trumpeted by Gordon Brown and his greenie think tanks.
Why's it here?
When we said 'future technology' you naturally assumed we meant 'fuel saving, CO
2 lessening green stuff' right? Wrong. This bad boy is all about going really fast. The 599 body is slammed to the floor on huge black lightweight rims that cover carbon ceramic brakes and are shod with slick tyres. It's spent its fair share of time in the wind tunnel too, resulting in more vents, reworked wheel arches and a smooth underbody for slipperiness. Interestingly, it also gets two fans at the back to redirect airflow out through slats next to the taillights. Oh, and the Enzo's V12 is dropped in for good measure, tweaked for 690bhp and connected to an automatic gearbox reprogrammed for lightning fast shifts.
Show stopper or floor filler?
Show stopper. Along with the Bugatti Veyron Centenaire, the Aston Martin One-77, the Lamborghini Murcielago SuperVeloce and, ahem, the Brabus G V12 S, this is one of a catalogue of insanely powered antidotes to the environmentalism dominating
Geneva. More please, we say.
