Skoda has announced that 500 examples of the Limited Edition vRS will be built, each one individually numbered and offered with special paint and a new alloy wheel design.
According to Skoda the extra equipment offered is worth £1,900 but comes with a price premium of only £750. The changes include metallic anthracite paint, new 18-inch alloy wheels and Italian leather seats that are embroidered with the vRS logo and the car's production number. Along with the colour and new wheels a red and black limited edition badge on the boot helps differentiate the Limited Edition from all the standard vRSs in the car park.
The Limited Edition vRS is offered with the 200bhp 2.0-litre T FSI petrol engine or the 170bhp 2.0-litre TDI CR turbodiesel; the latter available with the estate body as well as in regular five-door hatchback guise.
To further tempt customers Skoda is covering the VAT on its newest model; as a result prices start at £16,294.56. The Limited Edition is available to order now with the first cars due to be delivered in eight to ten weeks time.
