| All-new model preview | 2008 British International Motor Show | Kia Soul |
Kia has released more photos of its latest model, the Soul. Although the production version won't be revealed until the
Paris Motor Show three Soul concept cars will make it to the
British Show next week.
Three different versions of the Soul were first seen at
Geneva this year. The Soul Burner is dark with black paint and dragon graphics. The Soul Diva and Soul Searcher are lighter in tone; the Searcher is finished in calming pastels while the Diva is white with gold trim. All three concept vehicles bear a strong resemblance to the production version of the Soul.
Other concept cars appearing in London include the Kee sports coupé, ex-cee'd cabriolet and the eco_cee'd low-emissions concept. These vehicles are appearing together for the first time and are a hint at Kia's future product plans.
The production version of the Soul is more restrained than the concepts, taking on the shape of a square-cut five-door hatchback that is slightly shorter and taller than the
cee'd. The shape has elements of off-road vehicle although the Soul is front-wheel drive.
The British International Motor Show runs from 23rd July to 3rd August and Kia has promised another important announcement about future model plans. Production of the Soul will begin in Korea in November and the official world premiere will be at the Paris Motor Show on 2nd October.
