| World debut | 2008 British International Motor Show | Alfa Romeo MiTo |
Alfa Romeo has joined the ranks of manufacturers launching new models at this year's
British Motor Show. The British public will get their first look at Alfa Romeo's new supermini at ExCeL in London this month.
Pitched as the spiritual successor to the 1972 Alfasud, the MiTo will go on sale in the UK in January 2009. Alfa dealers will open the order books in October for customers who want to be at the head of the queue.
MiTo prices start at £10,975 for the 1.4-litre 95bhp Turismo, while the top of the range 155bhp 1.4 TB Veloce costs £14,975. A variety of driver aids are fitted including electronic brake force distribution (EBD) and cornering brake control (CBC). Other safety equipment includes seven airbags, which are standard across the range.
Along with the 95bhp and 155bhp petrol engines a 120bhp petrol option and two diesels are offered. Six-speed manual transmission is standard across the range except for the 120bhp 1.4 TB.
The
British International Motor Show at ExCeL in London runs from 23rd July to 3rd August. Look out for our
first drive of the MiTo.
