| Model Facelift | Chrysler 300C |
The
Chrysler 300C is a huge sales success in the UK and the new facelifted model looks set to continue that trend. This will be helped by the introduction of the SRT-Design version that has all of the looks of the high performance SRT-8, but powered by a 3.0-litre V6 turbodiesel.
The SRT-Design has the same 215bhp V6 turbodiesel as all other 300Cs except the 6.1-litre V8-engined SRT-8 - which packs 425bhp. It may not have the pace of the SRT-8, but the Design comes with 20-inch alloy wheels, wheelarch extensions to cover the larger wheels and a chromed mesh grille. It also has the SRT-8's leather interior and carbon fibre trim details.
The SRT-Design and the rest of the 300C range have a new dash and centre console layout, as well as a new ignition key that offers one-touch starting. Safety has been improved with side airbags for the front seats and curtain airbags for the rear.
Chrysler has added a new MP3 compatible stereo as an option that includes satellite navigation and the ability to store 1,600 songs on an integrated hard drive.
Prices for the revised 300C start at £27,495 and the SRT-Design model costs from £32,495 and is available as a saloon or estate.
