Farnbacher Loles showed its Porsche Cayman-based GTR at the LA Auto Show, which opened on December 1st. The GTR was displayed as the feature exhibit on the show sponsor Yokohama's stand.

Farnbacher Loles started up in 2005 with a brand new, state of the art 25,000 square-foot facility in Danbury, Connecticut, but with over 25 years previous experience in the arenas of service and performance modifications, specialising in the Porsche marque.

The GTR showcases what Farnbacher Loles can do with the new Cayman model, with a very comprehensive specification including:

- 3.8-litre Porsche engine with switchable power output (390-410bhp)
- REVO engine management software
- 15-way adjustable suspension by Cross
- Uprated exhaust manifold and exhaust system
- Limited slip differential
- Short-shift gearchange kit
- Porsche ceramic brakes as fitted to the top of the range 997 Turbo
- Uprated anti-roll bars
- 3-piece lightweight wheels with 285/30 R19 (rear) and 245/35 R19 (front) tyres
- Front bumper and splitter taken from the 997 Euro Cup cars
- A whole host of carbon-fibre parts including adjustable tail spoiler, side intakes and door mirror housings

This little lot does some serious damage to the cost, and is available as a conversion to your US-based Cayman for $56,450 or ready done on a new Cayman for $118,500. And that's before you get carried away with optional interior work such as retrimmimg in Alcantara, the ubiquitous pieces of carbon-fibre, and of course roll cage and harnesses for the serious track day driver...

If the Cayman-based GTR doesn't float your boat, Farnbacher Loles also has solutions based on the 997, Boxster and even the Cayenne.
