What's all this then?
This is Mazda's CX-9, it's new 'full-size' SUV, but don't get too excited, as it's not coming to Europe or the UK.
The CX-9 is Mazda's big, seven-seat SUV, which, for some strange reason, the firm won't be selling on this side of the Atlantic, but it is using the car's LA Auto Show debut to also debut a new engine - a turbocharged 2.5-litre SkyActiv-G petrol unit.
Think that won't be coming here either? Well, it's not for now but never say never. It's a 250hp, 420Nm unit and Mazda says that it manages to sidestep the usual turbo-lag and poor real-world fuel consumption issues that normally affect such engines.
Did I hear anyone say Mazda 6 MPS? Hmmmmmm...
