Hang on, where do I sit?
Ah, sorry about that. You see Honda wanted to create an especially bike-friendly Civic concept, called the Civic Tourer Active Life, for the Frankfurt Motor Show. So it's ripped the back seats out of this one and put in, instead, a clever bike storage rack that holds two bikes. There's an extending arm built in so that you can hang a bike up at eye level to be able to work on it, and lots of other bike-friendly stuff too.
I still don't see where I get to sit.
I hadn't finished. There's a built-in air pump, a work light integrated in the boot lid, a pop-out sun shade and even a retractable bench. Plus you get a toolbox, bottle holder, water tank and front wheel storage holder all built into the boot area. Oh, and there's an aero-friendly roof box for holding things like shoes and helmets. And there's a custom blue paint job with a contrasting silver roof, new 18-inch alloys and a black and blue interior with suede sports seats in the front.
Fine but where do I sit?
Hold on, I'm not done. Also appearing on the Honda stand at Frankfurt will be the Guinness World Record Civic Tourer iDTEC, which set a record 2.82 litres per 100km (which is 100.31mpg) on a 931-mile drive all around Europe.
Great, but you haven't answered my question.
Well, with no back seats in the concept, I guess you're on your bike...
Very droll.
