What's all this about?
Well, it's MINI again, isn't it? Up to its old tricks of making anything it can think of that is remotely cool into something with corporate branding on it. Step forward, then, Channel Islands Surfboards, one of the top surfing outfits in the world in terms of board manufacture.
Let me guess - a MINI surfboard?
You got it in one. And it's called The MINI (imaginative) - because it 'surfs like a MINI'. Which means it has been 'shaped from scratch to cut through the waves at speed with its short and sporty design', rather than it 'sinks immediately like a car that's been dumped into the ocean'.
Can I personalise it like a MINI car?
Have you been reading this news story elsewhere? Yes. Yes, you can - if you must. So, finish it in Chili red with black rally stripes, for all we care.
And how much is this?
We don't know enough about the surfboard market to know whether this is expensive or not, although we're rather guessing with MINI's input it will be, but it starts from £580. Visit www.cisurfboards.com if you're in the mood for a different type of surfing experience.
